Lisaboa Houbrechts writes and stages a family epic that spans three generations. She looks back at the era of her grandparents, her parents and her own generation. She explores how the small is intertwined with the big, the intimate with the political and the past with the present. At the centre is a 12-year-old girl at the end of a long history, diving into the hidden traumas of the past. Lisaboa Houbrechts elaborates the story in images, text and music.
