Arts

At Rubi, art and culture are intertwined with student life.

UAntwerpen has a collection of about 1100 paintings, sculptures and other expressions of contemporary art.

Masterpieces by Sam Dillemans and Fred Bervoets adorn the walls of the City Campus and sculptures by Yvan Theys and Jean Bilquin arise on the outer campuses. Art is omnipresent.

The Art on Campus Committee wants to make the university community and the students in particular more aware of (visual) art. Its main task is therefore to acquire and make available high-quality works of art. Furthermore, it pays special attention to the adequate placement of the works of art, taking into account the sensibility of the staff members and the framework of their working environment.

Thanks to the cooperation with the Antwerp City Guides, everyone can enjoy the works of art during a fascinating tour of the campuses. The guides explain the (art) historical background of the buildings and a selection of the works of art on these campuses.
